Description

Our comprehensive course in HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an Education or Care Setting, is a program caters to participants of all backgrounds, fostering an inclusive learning environment where everyone can confidently grasp essential first aid techniques.

Duration

Pre-study/learning modules online & 4 hours Face-to-face.

Purpose

This course is thoughtfully designed for individuals who play vital roles in the care and education of children. A requirement for those with children, this course is a First Aid Certification Course for those working in childcare. In recognition of the unique challenges and responsibilities involved, this program goes beyond traditional first aid training to specifically address emergencies such as asthma and anaphylaxis reactions.

Assessment

Prior online learning module to be completed, along with practical assessment in class.

Competency Units

  • HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (Elective - 4 hours)
  • HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (Elective - 22 hours)
